MY ROLE
UI/UX Designer
I was one of two visual designers for this project and I worked with two user experience designers. My responsibilities included the creation of the styling, and high-fidelity visual design, and assisted with wireframes and prototype creation. I worked with the other designers to gather and define requirements from the product owner, as well as work through technical limitations with the development team.
THE CHALLENGE
Modernize a legacy product
Optum360 Coding is a current Optum product that suffered from a variety of usability issues.
Project Goals:
•Redesign Optum360coding.com to be a mobile-friendly, device-responsive design.
•Create a set of Analytics to help inform the future phases of Optum360Coding.com design.
•Improve navigation.
•Redesign product page purchase options.
THE PROCESS
Detailed Specs for Redesign
We followed an iterative design process, which consisted of daily design reviews with the design team. We largely leveraged AxureRP and Sketch to quickly create low-fidelity wireframes for quick design iteration. We set up a weekly meeting cadence with the product and the dev team to define, troubleshoot, and facilitate collaboration on potential design solutions.
THE SOLUTION
A fresh, new, and improved experience.
With an easier and more user-friendly experience. Users navigate to the essential product they will need to purchase. Saving time and money.
